Bowling will be celebrating their four seniors tonight (Thursday, 2/8) at Lakeside Entertainment when they take on Coloma today at 4:00 pm. Come on out, celebrate the team and support our seniors.
The South Haven Boys Swim & Dive Team will celebrate Senior Night on Thursday (2/8) as they host Holland HS in their last home meet of the season. The meet will begin at 6:00 pm in the SHHS Pool. Come out, cheer on the team, and congratulate their lone senior (Kyle Bos) as he competes for the final time in his home pool. Go Rams.
South Haven High School will host an INCLUSION NIGHT this Friday (2/9) when the Rams take on the Coloma Comets. The evening will be sponsored by the school’s Peer to Peer and Be Nice Programs. Special activities will include a PEERS vs Be Nice exhibition game, North Shore Elementary’s therapy dog Kiri, special Be Nice uniforms, and plenty of information about inclusion and mental health topics. South Haven’s Girls will begin play at 6:00 pm, with the boys to follow at approximately 7:30 pm.
South Haven’s PEER TO PEER PROGRAM is an accredited class that pairs students with special needs (our PEERS) with students in general education (our LINKS) in a one-on-one partnership. The class focuses on socialization, independence and life skills, and creates a mutually beneficial friendship for everyone involved.
Be Nice is a statewide mental health initiative that aims to normalize talking about, and seeking help for, students’ mental health challenges. Our club’s goal is to “created an accepting and safe place for students of South Haven to learn about mental health and know that they are not alone.”
Come out on Friday night to help support the Rams, and this great cause.
For all of you long-term planners: here are start dates for the Fall Sports Season, the start of the 24-25 School Year.
HS sports begin practices on Monday, August 12, 2024. That includes football, sideline cheer, volleyball, boys soccer, XC, boys tennis, girls golf and girls swim/dive.
MS fall sports will begin practice on Monday, August 26. This includes volleyball, XC, football, sideline cheer and boys soccer.
February means the start of tournament time for high school sports in Michigan. This week the South Haven Varsity Wrestling Team will compete in both team and individual districts.
The Rams will head to Fennville HS on Wednesday (2/7) to participate in their team district along with Allegan, Hopkins and Fennville. The first round begins at 6:00 pm and the finals will follow afterwards at approximately 7:30 pm. START DATES FOR SPRING SPORTS: High school spring sports practices, which include softball, baseball, track, boys golf, girls soccer & girls tennis, will officially begin on Monday, March 11.
Middle school track (for boys and girls) and girls soccer will begin practice on Wednesday, March 20.

RAM FANS -- Don't forget that this Friday, February 2, is both our Hall of Fame Night and Winterfest at South Haven High School.
The South Haven Girls Varsity Basketball Team will take on Watervliet HS at 6:00 pm.
Immediately following the game will be the induction ceremony where we celebrate new members Mark Lewis, Christina Pigozzi, Marlee Wilson and Nick Wilson.
In the final event of the evening, the Boys Varsity Basketball Team will face off against Watervliet High School at approximately 7:45 pm. The Winterfest King and Queen will be crowned during halftime.

Freshman/JV Boys Basketball -- We have officially rescheduled the previously cancelled freshman & JV boys basketball games with Benton Harbor. Those games will now be played on Monday, 2/12, at Benton Harbor HS. The freshmen will play at 4:00 pm and the JV at 5:30 pm.
HS Girls Basketball -- South Haven WILL be hosting a JV game vs. Watervliet (5:00 pm) and a varsity game vs. Benton Harbor (6:30 pm) tonight as scheduled at South Haven HS.
Boys Basketball -- Benton Harbor will be hosting the boys varsity team ONLY for their game at 7:00 at BHHS.
The freshman and JV teams will NOT have a game today.
Varsity Boys Swimming -- Tuesday's meet with Plainwell has been cancelled due to weather and will be rescheduled to a later date.
MS Girls Basketball— Due to icy roads Monday’s game at Allegan has been cancelled and will be rescheduled. Look for information from your coach about changes.
JV & Varsity Bowling -- We have two cancellations:
1) Monday's scrimmage (1/22/24) with Brandywine has been cancelled due to weather.
2) Tomorrow's match vs. Parchment at South Haven (Tuesday, 1/23/24) has also been postponed due to transportation problems. We will communicate the reschedule date with everyone as soon as we're able.
JV Girls Basketball -- The Rams will now be playing Watervliet's JV Team tomorrow (1/23/24) instead of Benton Harbors. The time and place of the game have not changed.
HS Girls Basketball -- Tonight's JV and varsity girls basketball games have been cancelled due to the weather. The games have been rescheduled for Monday, 2/12 at South Haven, with the JV beginning at 5:00 pm and the varsity at 6:30 pm.
Middle School Wrestling -- Given the lack of practice time the team has had due to snow days, we've opted to move the wrestling jamboree that was scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, January 18. That event will now be held at South Haven High School on Tuesday, January 30, at 5:30 pm. This change should be reflected in the online schedule now.
Middle School Sports Picture Day is this Friday, January 19. Picture times will be worked into their existing practice slots, so there shouldn't be any change in scheduling.
