Summer Programming from South Haven Athletics This summer we are looking to make South Haven Athletics stronger, faster and better than ever before and we NEED YOU ALONG FOR THE RIDE. We want all of our athletes to participate in our summer strength and speed training workouts. MARK ON YOUR CALENDARS: Summer Ram Power strength and speed training will take place on Mondays, Wednesday & Thursdays throughout the summer from 5:00-7:30 pm in the SHHS weight room & gym. The program begins Monday, June 13. Please plan your work schedule and activities in advance so you can attend. This will include our Summer Ram Power Program and your own coaches’ sport-specific training. All South Haven athletic teams will be holding their summer programming in conjunction with our summer Ram Power Program. Our varsity coaches will be present in the weight room and attendance is requested and expected. All high school and middle school athletes, regardless of sport or gender, are encouraged to attend.

The Little Rams Boys Youth Basketball Program will begin in January. Sign-ups will be in the South Haven High School Cafeteria on Tuesday, December 7 from 4:30 to 6:30 pm, and at Baseline Middle School on Saturday, December 11 from 10:00 am-noon. NOTE TO SPORTS PARENTS: An increasing number of local districts are now requiring masks of spectators and coaches as we move into the winter season. For example, Lakeshore, St. Joseph & Kalamazoo Public Schools will require masks if you travel to an away event next week. South Haven Athletics recommends you plan on bringing a mask to all away events, and asks that you comply with whatever local rules are in place. Thank you!!

Does your athlete have a valid physical? High School winter sports begin in November and middle school basketball begins this Monday (10/25). All athletes in grades 6-12 wishing to participate in a school-sponsored sport MUST have a current physical on file to play, practice or even tryout. MHSAA rules state: For the 2021-22 school year, an MHSAA pre-participation sports physical is required for all students who participate in sports. A physical examination must be completed on or after April 15, 2021 to be considered a valid physical for 2021-22. An MHSAA physical form can be found on their website. Completed physicals can be turned in on the first day of practice, or brought to the office at either the high school or Baseline.

South Haven Varsity Football will now have a home game against Constantine this Friday, October 22, at 7:00 pm. Come out to Ratcliffe and cheer on the Rams in their last regular season game before the playoffs.

Just a reminder that Little Lady Rams Basketball Signups are today (10/13) and tomorrow (10/14) in the South Haven High School Cafeteria from 4:30 - 6:00 pm. The Program is available to girls in Kindergarten thru 5th grade. Cost is $50.00 per kid. Checks should be made out to South Haven Athletics.
