The South Haven Athletic Department has fielded some questions lately about a Senior Skip Day. Since the senior class had no school on Wednesday, 4/12 due to testing, and because they get out a week earlier than they have in the past, the policy of the Athletic Department is that athletes MUST go to a full day of school in order to play or practice. This includes pictures or any other scheduled team activity.

Spring sports pictures for HS sports will be Friday, April 14. MS spring sports pictures will be done on Friday, April 28. You can order pictures in three ways:
1. Fill out an order form and include payment to be returned at the time of pictures. Picture forms will be made available by your coach or at Meet the Team Night.

MS Soccer -- We have a clarification regarding the schedule for next week's games. The MS Purple Team will play Otsego on Monday, 4/17 at 6:00 pm at Otsego HS Field. Our online schedule has been updated to reflect this change.
JV Softball -- the game scheduled to be played on 5/5 at Berrien Springs has been cancelled. It has been taken off of the online schedule. Both varsity teams will still play home and JV baseball will still travel to Berrien.
MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER -- This year we have had terrific participation in girls middle school soccer. As a result, we’ll be having two teams this spring season, a Purple Team and a Gold Team. Schedules are nearly finished and you can find them for both teams by going to our website or app. See the links below.

Parents of MS athletes -- Because of the great participation numbers this spring we will not be able to do spring sports pictures with the HS teams. JV Baseball -- We have added a home doubleheader against Decatur HS on Friday, April 14 at 4:00 pm. The change should be reflected on the online schedule.
Varsity Baseball -- Tomorrow's weather looks cold and wet, so the single baseball game against Bangor has been cancelled. We were exploring moving the game, but there was a conflict. There will be no game with Bangor before spring break.
The HS track and field meet at Martin scheduled for Wednesday, 3/29, has been cancelled. It will likely not be rescheduled.
Concessions will NOT be open for tonight's (3/24) home baseball and softball games.
JV Baseball -- we have added a game to the schedule. The Rams will now host a DH against Paw Paw starting at 4:30 pm on Thursday, 3/30 in South Haven. That date has been added to the online schedule.
Due to wet field conditions, the varsity baseball game scheduled to be played at Hartford on Friday, 3/24 has been moved to South Haven. As a result the JV baseball game has been rescheduled for a later date.
Both softball games will be played as scheduled, with the varsity travelling to Hartford and the JV playing at South Haven.

This is an amended posting in regards to the start of MS sports practices. Official practice begins for MS track and MS girls soccer on Wednesday, 3/22. Wednesday is a half day for South Haven Public Schools, so the first day of practice will be as follows:
MS track will practice on Wednesday from when school gets out at 11:20 and last until 1:30 pm at Baseline MS. Thursday's practice will be until 4:30 pm and will be followed by a parent meeting, also at Baseline. MS soccer will officially begin on Wednesday, 3/22 and be held M-F from 3:00-4:30 pm at North Shore's Soccer Field. Any questions can be directed to Coach Branden Holtzman at bholtzman@shps.org.
This list was provided by our athletic trainer and shows locations that are available to perform athletic physicals. South Haven will be also hosting two physical nights in the spring/summer, but regardless we thought this might be a good resource for athletes & their parents.
The March 27 home tennis match with Dowagiac has been cancelled. We are not sure whether it will be rescheduled.
